AI Isn’t Optional — But Your Approach Is

By now, everyone’s talking about AI. Some are already using it. Some are still thinking about it. And some… well, they’re doing nothing and hoping the whole thing blows over. Here’s the truth: AI is here to stay. The question is not if you’ll adapt, but how.

1. Do Nothing

This is the path of least resistance — and the highest risk. Doing nothing might feel safe today, but it’s the business equivalent of standing still on a moving walkway. Eventually, you fall behind. Your competitors get faster, leaner, and smarter. Keep in mind, what you choose to do versus what your team decides to do (or are doing) may be quite different! There are emerging AI leaders inside of your Company, who are they and what are they doing?

2. Do It Yourself (DIY)

DIY Good option, low cost, travel at your own pace. DIY AI adoption can build internal muscle and generate powerful wins. But let’s be honest: most leadership teams are already stretched. Teaching your staff prompt engineering, data architecture, and AI governance on top of their Day jobs? That’s a tall order. You might win the battle but lose the war on speed and execution.

3. Do It For Me (DIFM)

Some vendors will promise the world, hand you a black box, and say “trust us.” Word of caution, Does the company who are touting their brilliance brilliant? Do they have the experience required to deliver results? This brings me back to the early days of website design and digital media, with digital agencies promised the hallowed ground of getting you on Page 1 of Google. Most failed. Check the cred, how long have they been working with AI? How many projects completed successfully?

4. Do It Together

Here’s the sweet spot: Do it together with an experienced, fractional team. More brains. By selecting this option, you keep ownership and visibility but gain immediate velocity. You get frameworks, trusted tools, and experts who’ve been around the AI block, as you and your team learn from experienced operators.

This isn’t about automating everything or replacing people. It’s about return on people. AI should amplify your talent, not overwhelm it.

The most successful leaders we work with don’t chase shiny tools — they build durable systems. They don’t just want AI — they want AI that produces tangible results, rapidly!

So, ask yourself: which approach gives your team the best chance to win the great game of AI?

If you’re ready to stop dabbling and start doing — with a partner who meets you where you are — let’s talk. Because doing it together is quite possibly the best way to go.

P.S. We have been developing with AI since 2013.
